Panel Debate “Bringing an end to the institutionalisation of children with disabilities in the EU”

Kathy Sinnott (MEP), Vice President of the European Parliament Disability Intergoup, will host a panel debate on how to ensure social inclusion for children with disabilities in the EU and the need for deinstitutionalisation.

The debate will be preceded by the Documentary on "Bulgaria's abandoned children". It will take place on 4 March from 14h30 to 18h30 in the European Parliament (in Brussels), Room ASP 1E2.


Invited guest speakers are : Kate Blewett, Director of BBC Documentary "Bulgaria's Abandoned Children"; Laura Parker, Absolute Return for Kids; Slavka Kukova, Bulgaria-Helsinki Committee; Luk Zelderloo, EASPD; Richard Howitt, MEP, President of the Disability Intergroup; Jan Jarab, Cabinet of Commissioner Spidla.


Translation will be available in French and English.
